Fern is perfect for any trip on sealed roads. But please be aware that the longer your trip is the more km's go on the engine. So we have a guideline of around 200km per day. This can be spread over a trip and after 1000kms, We charge just .25 per km at the end of the trip. We can suggest pet friendly camping locations and can provide x2 dog sleeping bags. Contact us if you want to camp with kids, we could figure something out. We have tried to think of everything you would need, from hot water bottles, beach towels and a hair dryer, just let us know if there is anything you wish we had!

Hiring rules

• No Smoking.
• No Towing.
• No offroad use.
• No shoes inside sleeping area.
• If driving at dusk or dawn, drive slowly and carefully... we have a lot of wildlife in Tasmania.
• Return in the same conditions you received her:
• Tank must be filled up (diesel).
• Cleaned as best as possible, inside and out.
• Maximum of 200km per day, and 1000km per trip, additional 50c charged per km
• We have an inventory we check between each hire to ensure no items are damaged or stolen, if a mistake happens just let us know :)

• Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

  Fantastic lil van, Fantastc Fern did a great job heading to Hobart and east coast, it had everything in the description, am informative leaflet in the glovebox with all the details about Fern and mini projector. Scott informed us about the the little things to check ensuring the bed is stable before settling in, and solar panel to recharge battery but had plenty of juice for our 4 day trip. The bed and linen was very comfy and we were very warm and cosy. The drivers side mirror unfortunately was smashed before he dropped the van to us at the airport, short notice to get the part delivered in time, this did not hinder our travels. Scott is very easy going, dropping van off early to the airport and allowing us t to drop off late when we were on a late night flight. Highly recommend Fern for a no fuss, get around with ease travels.
