🚐🚐ABOUT THE CHONK🚐🚐 KITCHEN AND DINING - - Wooden kitchen with a large indoor seating area - 55L Fridge + Freezer, double induction cooker and an in/out exhaust fan - Powered tap and sink with 110L fresh water & seperate grey water tank. - Cookware, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery, utensils, spices, tea - Eat dinner inside on our 2 indoor seats or outside with a picnic blanket. - Cleaning - hand wash, spray, detergent, bug spray, dustpan/brush + recycling, and waste tubs SLEEPING - Deluxe Queen Mattress - Linen included OFF-GRID - - Easy to use Solar Power with impressive battery to allow for the ultimate unplugged experience. - Charge using USB ports & 240V plugs. - Diesel Heater & 12V Air Conditioning, so you can climatise the van without having to be plugged into shore power. - Outdoor hot water shower. PETS - Your kelpie sized dog can sit on on a dog bed provided in the cabin. STORAGE - Decent size pantry, multiple overhead drawers for clothing, larger items fit in the 'garage' under the bed, and bulky items fit in the seating storage. SERVICE FEE - Covers the amenities, full disinfect, cleaning and small damages. FAQ - - Can we do a long drive? We include 300km, after that, I charge 25'c per km for vehicle maintenance - Can we stand up in The Chonk? Yep! The Chonk is very large, and can comfortably fit tall travellers (one owner is 6"2!)

Hiring rules

• We are pretty easy going, but ask that you please:
• Do not smoke in the van;
• Do not take the van offroad;
• If Pet's are coming along on your trip, do not leave your dog in the van unattended at any time.

• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

  The Chonk was certainly adequate for a little road trip however we were disappointed at the level of cleanliness. I wasn't sure the sheets were clean as there was sand on the flat sheet so I quickly made the bed with my own linen. The little freezer could not be used as it was frozen over (I think there may be ice creams buried in there at the back) and the fridge had not been cleaned out. The only other item that had an impact on us was the lack of hose fittings so we couldn't attach the hose to replenish our water supplies. None of these things spoilt our trip. The bed was comfortable although beware the little fairy lights that come on in the middle of the night! Freya and Greg were delightful to deal with and should be proud of their little home on wheels.

  We had a great time travelling in the chonk. It is such a comfortable and well set up van with everything you need for a long or short trip. Freya and Greg were really easy to communicate with and understanding. The price is also very reasonable given the quality of the van.

  We hired the Chonk for 6 days and went road trippin' along the Great Ocean Road and up to the Grampians. It was our first time in a campervan and we had the absolute best time. Whilst I was a little nervous parking the 19 foot long van, she comes with reverse parking assist and shes pretty easy to drive. Not only has the Chonk been brilliantly built with everything we could possibly need, the bed is super comfy and the decor is gorgeous. Freya and Greg were very responsive and super helpful.  We've fallen a bit in love with the campervan life and couldn't recommend The Chonk enough.

  We hired the Chonk to drive the Great Ocean Road - stopping in Port Fairy and Port Campbell. The van was so easy to drive the bed was super comfortable. Everything we needed was there including hot water and air con. We received so many comments about how lovely the van was. Would absolutely recommend! Freya and Greg were really lovely and very responsive. Thanks for an amazing hire!
