Big Ace is located about an hour from Hobart, including a 15 minute ferry ride. How pick up works is, you would catch public transport (bus or uber) from Hobart to Kettering where the ferry terminal is for Bruny Island. If you prefer public transport, then the 415 Bus leaves from the center of Hobart (at Franklin Square) and comes directly to the Kettering ferry terminal. The bus schedule can be found here: https://www.metrotas.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Channel-to-Hobart-City.pdf The buses are not that frequent, with only 2 a day to Ketterring at 8:35am or then 2:20pm, so make sure to plan around that. Once you get to Kettering, you would jump on foot onto the ferry (it's free to travel on without a car!) and I'll meet you on the other side at Bruny Island. Here, I'll be able to give you a fully comprehensive tour of Big Ace and all his features. You can then choose to stay on the Island for your first night, or if time permits you can jump back onto the mainland before the last ferry at 7pm to hit up other spots on the mainland. Driving Ace off the island on the ferry is also free, as we have already paid for a return ticket. Bruny Island is a destination in itself. We have some amazing local produce (cheese, cider, oysters), and an abundance of natural beauty so Ace is pretty much located in van life paradise already. The nearest camp site to us is called the Neck Campground which is right on a stunning beach, as in park amongst the tree's and wake up and walk over to the sunrise over the crashing waves, it's my favourite spot to camp! Thus you might want to spend your first day on Bruny, or if you wish to jump straight back onto the mainland (after picking Ace up) to explore other areas then that is totally possible up until the last ferry off the island at 7pm. With regards to drop off, you don't need to come back all the way to Bruny Island (if you don't want to!). You can simply leave Ace at the car park at Kettering with the keys in a safe place and head back to the airport/or next destination from there. Hiring rules

• FUEL Return Big Ace with a full tank of Diesel. That's DIESEL. Like VIN DIESEL. If you get mixed up at the pump Ace will choke, and thats a big oopsie...
• OFF ROAD No OffRoad, or poor Big Ace will rattle to bits
• SMOKING Strictly no smoking, if we detect the odour of smoke upon return, this will incur additional charges.
• EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they call the NRMA. Then call me!
• LONG TRIPS Take the van wherever you want (In Tassie!) for however long. If you wish to take Big Ace across to the mainland VIC or other, you can! Additional kilometer fee's will occur in this case so please chat with us.
• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older. We can accommodate for younger drivers with driving experience of long commuter vehicles or other large vehicles, so again, just chat to us and we'll see what we can do.

  We had a great experience with Big Ace. Jessi gave us a detailed handover and was available at all times to help us out if needed. The van was spacious and equipped for 2 people, and easy to drive around Tassie. Stays well powered using the backup solar battery, so this made things a lot easier for us. Not a huge water tank, so would bare this in mind for cooking/showering etc. 5 stars, would recommend!

  We loved our time in Big Ace, he was perfect for what we needed. Outdoor shower was a bonus after a freezing cold swim. Jessi was great with communication, pick up and drop off was so easy!
