Whether you wish to pull up at a caravan park, camp off grid for several days or tackle one of Australia’s iconic outback tracks with the kids our brand new Navigator 15 has you covered. Our Navvi is a hybrid van with a hard top (not poptop), 15 feet long, 18 feet when bed compartment is extended with both external and internal kitchens, internal 12 V fridge, microwave and a full smart TV. It also has a full bathroom, that has a separate shower and toilet, not a combo found in most hybrids and an external shower as well. The dining area easily converts to two bunks for the kids. A full annex is available and takes only about 30 minutes to setup and for multiple night stays in one location, it’s well worth it extending your living space by more than half. A YouTube video is available to guide you through the setup process. Other features include all cooking utensils, pots, pans etc, cutlery, crockery, kettle, toaster, basic pantry, first aid kit, snake bite kite, fire extinguisher, fire blanket and much more. If you are interested in a one way hire please negotiate this with the owner. Also we can deliver and set up by negotiation. Basic Wifi is free with reasonable use (streaming okay). If you are going off the beaten track a bit you may be interested in Starlink. This is available for $5 per day equipment hire plus $174 per month or part thereof (unlimited) or $80 for 50Gb. Off Road For experienced towers only. Navvi is a robust van, built for any conditions this country can throw at it while being just as suited to the blacktop. We will permit the van to go off road within reason as long as you agree that any damage not covered by insurance or warranty will be your responsibility. You will need to sign an off-road agreement and email us a map of your proposed route. Should you wish to deviate from the agreed route, you must notify us and get our written approval.

Hiring rules

  • Under no circumstances is the van to be towed after dark without permission from the owner. In fact you should aim to be at your destination at least two hours before sunset.
  • Always take a 15 minute break every two hours of driving. Check the tyres to make sure they are not too hot. If they are hot, wait until they cool down before driving.
  • Do not drive for more than 6 hours in a day for one driver or 8 hours if two or more drivers.
  • Toilet cassette must be emptied and cleaned before returning van to owner.
  • You must have spotter outside the van when reversing.
  • Any breakage or loss must be reported to owner immediately.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Ricks caravan was a great balance of size, weight, and functionality. The dimensions were spot-on -- spacious enough to be comfortable, yet compact and well-balanced for towing. It was easy to handle on the road and didn't feel cumbersome, even for longer drives. One pleasant surprise was how practical the outdoor kitchen turned out to be. It was thoughtfully set up and genuinely useful, not just a "nice-to-have" feature. We ended up using it far more than expected. The handover process was very thorough and well explained, which made the whole experience stress-free. Communication with the owner was excellent -- clear, responsive, and very well aligned with our expectations. Although we encountered a couple of minor unexpected issues along the way, they didn't impact the overall usability or enjoyment of the trip. Overall, a very positive experience, and I'd happily recommend both the caravan and the owner.
