Our Freebird has taken us to some amazing places including crossing the Nullabor! Freebird makes you feel like you are King/Queen of the road. ✅ Cushioned seats and table at the rear convert to a very comfy queen size bed ✅ Solar panels run small fridge /freezer, lights, water pump, phone and computer charge ports ✅ 240 volt plug in lead to 15 amp power source will run aircon ✅ Cassette toilet easy to use ✅ Shower with small gas heated hot water system ✅ Sink and 3 burner stove top ✅ 80 L fresh water tank and grey water tank ✅ Roll out awning with outdoor table and chairs provided ✅ All linen, doona, pillows, towels, tea towels provided ✅ Cutlery, crockery, pots and pans ✅ Tea, coffee, herbals, sugar and basic pantry items like salt, pepper, olive oil. Hiring rules

  • No smoking inside
  • We deliver to Canberra or other towns within 50 km for a $50.00 drop off and $50.00 pick up fee
  • Other arrangements can be discussed for pick up, drop off and delivery
  • You are welcome to collect from wherever we are housesitting in Canberra. We mostly sit in the South so please liaise with us for the best option for all.
  • We are pet friendly but ask that you bring your own bedding if your pup sleeps on the bed.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Motorhome ran well and was easy to drive, though we were very disappointed that the AC didn't work, so we changed our destination to a closer point. Everything needed was supplied, and we loved the awning and the toilet and shower were very good. A few negatives could be easily remedied with some maintenance. Flyscreens ripped, knobs missing, gas stove burners not working properly, and most annoying was lack of battery power overnight which meant no fridge.

    The van was fun to drive with manual transmission and great on the highway, very comfortable and easy to park. Thanks Lianne we had a great 10 days in Western NSW, visiting Gulgong and Wellington Caves to name a couple.

    Freebird was a great option for us over the Christmas period. Lianne was lovely to deal with and extremely helpful, with clear and timely communication throughout. The van had everything we needed for our travels, and being an older vehicle, it met our expectations.

    Perfect van for our 2 week trip to the snow. Lianne and Dean had absolutely everything you could need inside the van. Thank you for making our trip so easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend and a hot shower at the end of the day was an absolute treat

Dean and I (Lianne) bought Freebird after retiring to use for intermittent travelling. We have had many adventures and take her away a couple of times a month to the ocean or mountains - wherever we feel like going.
