Just like the song by Dolly, we think our beloved van "Jolene" just might steal your heart. We have loved travelling to all the best spots in our van, but we think it's time to share what is a very special experience with like-minded folk. We are not a van-hiring business, rather we choose to share our van to offset our own travel plans. As such we only hire to careful and considerate individuals who will treat Jolene with the same level of love and care that we do. About the Van: Jolene is big enough to sleep 2 adults very comfortably while being the right size to travel freely and navigate busy areas without the parking headaches of larger vans. Her fold-out bed can be converted back to a sitting area during the day and provides extra storage room for surfboards, bikes and luggage. Jolene is perfect for you if you want to experience a taste of #vanlife with thoughtful inclusions throughout: - A well-equipped outdoor camp kitchen including a 2 burner gas stove - All the plates, cutlery, glassware and accessories I like in my kitchen as a foodie - Collapsible buckets, dishstands and laundry accessories - 65L Fridge/Freezer - Foldable Table & Camp Chairs - Beach Umbrella & Picnic Blanket - Railroad Lantern by Barebones Australia - Portable Bluetooth Music Device - Portable Fan & Light - USB charging, 12V power points, and internal lights - Ample internal storage for food, clothing, surf-boards etc - Roof racks with a cargo basket - Jolene has a rooftop solar panel and 2 additional batteries that help power any USB or 12V compatible devices and the fridge/freezer. Jolene the Van is located in Palm Beach, 15 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport, ready for your next trip. (Please note we recommend flying into Gold Coast airport at Coolangatta as Brisbane airport is minimum 2 hour drive).

PETS We love travelling with our dog, so we are happy to consider your furry friend too. Please ask us if travelling with your pet is possible. TRIP PLANNING TIPS We highly recommend you travel 200 to 300km (2-3 hrs) maximum per day, this ensures you have a safe and relaxing trip without incurring additional KM charges. We also recommend travelling south from Palm Beach to maximise your time off the road and enjoying the beautiful Southern Gold Coast and Northern NSW areas. If you plan a trip North please consider the dense traffic from Gold Coast to Brisbane and from Brisbane further north. For example, it is not unusual for a Trip north to Noosa to take 4-5 hours due to road works and heavy traffic. Trip location suggestions: Yamba, Red Rock, Corindi Beach, Arrawarra, Bellingen, South West Rocks.

Hiring rules

  • In an EMERGENCY call 000. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, and call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they will advise you how to contact NRMA.
  • If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required, call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they will advise you how to contact NRMA.
  • No offroad, no beach driving, no extended gravel roads. Stay covered by insurance by staying on bitumen roads. Unsealed roads must be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before the trip begins. Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of insurance coverage.
  • SMOKE No smoking or cooking inside. Do not let campfire smoke inside the van or an excess cleaning fee will be charged.
  • No festivals
  • Awnings must be packed away before bad weather arises
  • No free camping, you will be liable for any fines incurred
  • BEFORE RETURNING:
  • CLEANING: If you do not want to clean we charge $99.00. If you choose to clean please wash the outside, vacuum the inside, and clean the equipment, and dishes (you don't need to wash the sheets or towels). Don't leave any rubbish in the van. Excessive cleaning will incur a charge.
  • FUEL: Return full of DIESEL, all hires include a full tank upon departure.
  • HANDOVER: Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes for pick up and drop off for handover and Camplify paperwork.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We had a great time in the van. All went smoothly from pickup to drop off. Sophie was lovely, the van was easy to use, well supplied and the bed was super comfy. The nice little treats as extras were much appreciated. I found the van quite easy to drive and steady in balance Overall Very Happy with our experience , 'Jolenne' suited us perfectly .
