Enjoy some little luxuries when you hire our Panda. Here you will find all your basic needs plus a little more. I have taken care of all the basic needs, you just need to pack your clothes, pillows and blankets and of course food and beverages. Put on a great big smile as you cruise down one of our many highways or to one of the many faraway places in this great land of ours. The fully appointed kitchen includes all your plates, bowls, mugs, tumblers, pots and pans, toaster and jug, cutlery and even some wine glasses. The pantry has cling wrap, alfoil and paper towel. Under the sink are your basic needs including dish liquid, spray and wipe, disinfectant, wash cloths, tea towels, a small kitchen bin and liner. I have also put in some rope and pegs to hitch up a clothesline. The expanda is air conditioned, has plumbed hot water to the sink, microwave, 3way fridge, gas stove and oven. There is a TV, stereo and a couple of portable fans. On one end is a queen bed and a double on the other. The side lounge converts to a full size single- this needs to be set up if required please advise up booking. Both end beds have comfy mattress toppers and privacy curtains. For health reasons we don’t supply pillows. Our Panda is fully equipped for your off the grid camping. Your location will be discussed upon booking. The Expanda includes a large solar panel to keep the battery charged while off road and the fridge runs on gas, (fitted 9kg bottle) as well as battery (through an Anderson plug), and 240 mains power. If required I can provide a 12vlt shower, portaloo and shower tent. Cleaning of the loo is up to you. (charges will apply if not bought back clean) The Expanda has screens all round with bed end flies to give extra protection if it rains. There is a roll out awning on one side. I also have a full annex but as it is quite heavy, it’s only included if requested. Linen is not included in the fees but can be provided for a small extra fee to cover laundering. A BBQ can be provided for an additional charge. (cleaning of the BBQ is also up to you or you can choose for me to clean it for you) Whilst we say no off road, good dirt roads into property or similar are allowed but please advise prior to hire. Good judgement and common sense is also required to make your trip successful. Towing experience is a must. I don't allow creek crossings. Remember the rule "If its flooded Forget it" I want you all to come home. I do expect the Panda to be returned with the inside looking as it did when it left home. I have provided cleaning equipment so please respect my van and keep it nice for everyone to enjoy. Photographs are taken prior to hire. Any damage is the responsible of the hirer. Insurance will be accessed if the damages cannot be agreed upon and paid for privately. Please note- I do not allow bikes or any other sporting equipment to be stored inside the van. Any cabinet damage- timber scuffs depending on size will be required to be compensated for.

Hiring rules

• We have a strict NO SMOKING policy in our van. All damages and losses will be the responsibility of the hirer regardless of size.
• Tyre damage is also the responsibility of the hirer.
• Minimum hire is 3 days.
• Christmas week minimum hire is 4 days.
• Pick up time is 7am or by negotiation
• Drop off time before dark.

• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

  VERY DISAPPOINTED This was our first time hiring a caravan and from the description, the van should have been perfect for our family of 5. We hired 'panda the expanda'. The description promised the following + more: 'Some little luxuries' 'Basic needs plus a little more' 'Fully appointed kitchen' 'Cling wrap, alfoil, paper towel' 'Spray and wipe, Disinfectant' 'Airconditioned' '3 way fridge' 'Plumbed sink' 'TV, stereo' 'A couple of portable fans' Now here was our experience and what we got for over $550 for 2 nights... We chose the deliver, set up/Pick up option. 2 days out from our stay, Christina messaged me to ask if we could drop it back as she was not available to pick it up. This is after we had drop off and pick up approved and we had paid in full. I informed that we can't hence the option we chose and paid extra for. We were then asked 'do you not have a tow bar and or towing experience/ suitable tow vehicle?' Again I stated that we would not tow the van and if there was a problem with the booking, I was happy to have a full refund to find something else. The van was delivered, after her having to call then turn back around because she forgot the 5th bed configuration... The van its self was ok. We didn't expect anything extravagant as we knew it was older and basic. BUT we did expect the things listed in the description and we did not get them. What we got was: No little luxuries or even basic needs Dirty cutlery and crockery that we has to scrub before we could use anything. A dirty tea towel No spray and wipe A pot that had crusty food and roach poo in it. No alfoil, glad wrap or paper towel Disgusting water in the tank that she "didn't know how much is in there" The air conditioner that she said "you're better off not using during the day" and stopped blowing air all together by the end of our stay A dirty fridge and we were asked if we planned to use the freezer, when I said no she said "that's good because I broke the door on it" The tv just thrown in the cupboard and no portable fans The van was not cleaned before hire. There was gross dirty greasy stuff on the surfaces, dusty and moldy air vents, dirty cupboards, random junk in almost all cupboards and no evidence of any attempt what so ever to clean or tidy it before hire. And definitely no little luxuries. The screens on the van were damaged with holes but this didn't affect our stay. The left tyre on the van was bald! So thank god we were not towing it anywhere with our vehicle... Over all, we were extremely disappointed! We will not be hiring again... We also have pictures of all of our complaints.

  This isn't a brand new van and you need to hire it with realistic expectations. We wanted some home comforts like beds, air-conditioning and a fridge during our holiday and we didn't want to pay the world. This was great for us and met our needs. Christina was responsive and helpful and gave us all the information we needed to use and set up the van. We plan to do it again next year

  Van was suitable for a family of 5, with the lounge converted into a single bed for youngest child. We were out most of the day so only really needed van to sleep. Otherwise if you are using van for a longer stay I'd suggest something bigger, and cleaner. Would be handy to have some chairs and table available. Van was delivered and set up. Communication with owner was very limited and not very prompt. Could do with some fresh, clean kitchen items eg. kettle, toaster, cutlery. Overall it was just ok.
