Newly converted in late 2020 with a cosy timber interior and all the essentials for your trip, the Gypsy Lou is ready to take you on your next adventure! Inside you will sleep in comfort on a full double size innerspring mattress - no folding, flipping or flimsy bits of foam. The solar and battery setup powers a fridge/freezer to keep your beers cold, USB outlets, warm cabin lighting, vent fan, and of course fairy lights for those instagram moments. Go off-grid in comfort and style! The pull-out kitchen features a butane stove and all the plates, cups, pots, pans, and utensils you need to be a campsite Gordon Ramsay. There is a water tank and pump with an external tap/hose for drinking and washing up, you can also use the spray attachment for an outdoor shower or to rinse off your boards or gear. Along with the awning, a folding table and chairs complete the setup and tuck away when not in use. There is plenty of space for your clothes and gear, with internal cupboards, shelves, and drawers, and enough room underneath the bed for surfboards (up to 9ft) or other bulky items. This campervan is the perfect mid size - much more spacious than a standard van but will still fit in a regular park and doesn't feel like a boat on the road. The van is also fitted with a reverse camera to make your life easier when parking. The Gypsy loves cruising down the highway and with her legendary Hiace reliability will get you to your favourite spots with no hassle. No off road use.
EMERGENCY If any engine or other problem, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they call the NRMA. Then call me!
Hirer must return van with a full tank of regular unleaded petrol (tank will be full when you pick up)
Maximum of 250km/day (average) is included in the hire price. Exceeding this will incur a fee of 30c/kilometre at the completion of your trip. Note: this is to discourage unreasonably long trips on short bookings. If you have a plan for a longer trip and are worried about the kilometers, let me know and we can discuss.
Van must be returned reasonably clean and tidy. Excessive cleaning will incur a charge.
Any damage or incident must be reported

Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $110.00 per day
Service fee: $15.00

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

It was perfect, we had everything we needed for our camping stay in the middle of bush down the Kangaroo Valley. Thomas was super helpful with his intro to all the features that his van have. Strongly recommend but you need to know how to use a manual gear

Tom was very helpful and punctual and gave a very good introduction to his van. He has done a good job of fitting her out and she has everything we needed for our weekend away, The kitchen set up works well and was actually more convenient in windy conditions than the fancier set up our travel companions had in their van. Gypsy Lou is an older van so she has the signs of wear and tear on the outside that come with age. Her manual gear box requires an experienced manual driver to ease through gear changes at times. This is a good basic van.

Gypsy Lou was great, super comfortable and spacious! The bed was comfortable and spacious for two people. Fridge, amenities and utensils were super helpful for our trip to cook and make food and drinks. There is good storage underneath the van for surfboards but boards near/over 9foot may not fit, there are roof racks that can be used instead.

Gypsy Lou was the perfect van for our two nights away. She has everything you could need. The bed is super comfy, ample storage space in the cupboards and under the bed. The hose at the back of the van makes it easy to wash up and the lights in the van make it really cosy. Handover etc was made super easy with Tom, 10/10 recommend!
