The Tassie Trekker is a simple, reliable campervan designed for exploring Tasmania comfortably and affordably. Please note: • Minimum driver age: 25 • No smoking inside the van • The van is set up for sealed roads and standard campsites only • Pick-up and drop-off is in the Devonport area (great for Spirit of Tasmania arrivals) We provide a quick walkthrough at pickup so you feel confident using everything before starting your adventure.

Hiring rules

  • To keep The Tassie Trekker in great condition for everyone, please note the following:
  • • Drivers must be 25 years or older with a full licence
  • • No smoking or vaping inside the van
  • • The van is for sealed roads and standard campsites only (no offroad driving)
  • • Please return the van in a tidy condition with rubbish removed
  • • Fuel tank must be returned full
  • • Maximum 2 travellers recommended for comfort
  • • Any damage or issues during the trip should be reported as soon as possible
  • Long Trips
  • 200km per day is included in each booking. There will be a charge of 0.40c per kilometre for additional km travelled over the total allowance. This is calculated with camplify’s pre/post checklist.
  • Vehicle Usage Rule
  • This vehicle is not permitted on unsealed roads, beaches, forestry tracks, or offroad conditions. Driving on these surfaces may void damage cover and will result in repair costs being charged to the hirer.
  • Occupancy Rule
  • Maximum occupancy is 2 people. The vehicle is set up for a couple and is not suitable for additional passengers or children.
  • Return Condition Rule
  • The vehicle must be returned in a reasonably clean condition. Excessive dirt, sand, stains, or rubbish may incur additional cleaning charges.
  • Wildlife Caution
  • Night driving in rural areas is discouraged due to Tasmanian wildlife. Hirers are responsible for any damage caused by wildlife collisions
  • Driving Safely
  • All traffic infringements, tolls and penalties incurred during the hire period are the responsibility of the hirer. An administration fee may apply for processing fines.
  • We provide a quick walkthrough at pickup to make sure you feel comfortable using everything before heading off on your adventure.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
