The Tassie Tsunami is a compact adventure camper designed for simple setup and comfortable travel around Tasmania. Lightweight and easy to tow, it’s ideal for exploring Tassie’s incredible coastlines, national parks, and hidden camping spots. Inside the camper is a comfortable queen bed for two, while the zip-in awning tent provides additional sleeping space for up to four more people (great for kids or extra guests with sleeping bags or swags). This makes it a flexible option for couples, small families, or groups wanting a simple camping setup. The rear slide-out kitchen makes cooking outdoors easy, and the camper is quick to set up so you can spend less time organising camp and more time enjoying the adventure. The camper comes with a portable instant gas hotwater shower & shower tent for those icy tassie days. The Tassie Tsunami is designed to be easy to tow and quick to set up, making it perfect for exploring Tasmania. A few helpful things to know: • Suitable for most SUVs and 4WDs with a 1500 kg towing capacity • A tow ball and 7-pin trailer plug are required (I can supply adapters) • Comfortable queen bed inside the camper for two adults • Zip-in awning tent available, providing additional sleeping space for up to four more people (sleeping bags or swag style) • Instant gas hotwater shower & shower tent • camp toilet (bucket style) for emergencies • Full walkthrough and setup explanation provided before departure • Flexible pickup times can often be arranged depending on availability As a Hobart local, I’m also happy to share recommendations for great camping spots and scenic drives around Tasmania. If you’re flying into Hobart or starting your trip locally, I’m also happy to help with additional requests such as organising groceries or basic supplies, provided these are arranged and paid for in advance.


Hiring rules

  • No smoking or vaping inside the camper or awning tent
  • No pets unless agreed in advance
  • Hirers must have a valid driver’s licence and a vehicle capable of towing 1500 kg
  • No beach driving or extreme offroad use)
  • Please return the camper clean and in the same condition it was collected
  • Water tanks should be emptied and rubbish removed before return
  • Hirer is responsible for any traffic, parking, or toll infringements during the hire period
  • Festivals or large events require approval before booking
  • The camper will be provided with a full walkthrough and setup demonstration before departure to make sure you’re comfortable towing and setting everything up.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
