Red Centre RAV4

Have you ever dreamed of touring the Red Centre with a rooftop tent? Then this is the camper for you! The car is an automatic, diesel RAV4 that loves being out on the highway. It has a spacious interior, huge boot space, Carplay/Android Auto and cold A/C. You’ll have peace of mind driving through the remote centre with Toyota’s legendary reliability. On top is a self-inflating rooftop tent, the “Air Cruiser”. Just fold it out, plug it in and watch it inflate in 5 minutes. Check out the video on Kickstarter. The tent has inbuilt lighting, plenty of headroom, a comfy mattress and a large skylight so you can lie back and watch the stars. Additional comforts include: • Camping table and chairs • Cooler box/esky • Cooking gear: a gas stove, utensils etc. • Camp lighting, drinking water, ground sheets and so on. I include everything that I would normally take on a camping trip. Contact me if you have any specific needs or requests • Freshly laundered sleeping bags, pillows and towels can be added by selecting the “linen” option at checkout. The rooftop tent can sleep up to 2 adults. If you have more people, I can supply a ground tent, bedding and gear for up to an additional 3. If you have a large group, it may be a squeeze to fit all your luggage as well as the gear in the boot, so please pack lightly (or you can leave suitcases in my garage). This setup is ideal for doing trips to Uluru, Kings Canyon and the MacDonnell Ranges. Being an all-wheel-drive, it IS suitable for short unsealed access roads (like the canyons and gorges around Alice Springs) but is NOT suitable for 4WD tracks such as the Mereenie Rd.
