This is your perfect family holiday van. She may be little on the outside but once folded out it offers plenty of room sleeping, cooking and eating. There would even be enough for your 4 legged fur babies (dogs only). This van provides a comfortable queen bed which folds down over the drawbar. This bed end has a solid roof and storm covers for protection from the weather. There is a single set of bunk beds at the rear of the van with storage compartments and curtains for each bunk. 2 x 100ah AGM batteries with a 200w solar blanket for charging or simply plug the van into 240v power outlet. The fridge can run on gas or 240v, the stove has 3 gas plates and one electric plate and also has gas grill. If plugged into 240v power you can also make use of a microwave and reverse cycle air conditioning. The van has a pullout Carefree awning with mesh walls for protection from the elements and there is also a small drop down table on this side of the van. Dory is fitted with Elecbrakes wireless brake controller so no need to have a brake controller fitted in your vehicle. On the rear bar is a bike rack which can carry 3 bikes. Also provided is everything you need to set up the van, all kitchen equipment including plates, cups and cutlery, dishwashing liquid and cloths. The pantry is also stocked with basic items such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, cooking oil. For longer distance trips, over 500km away from the pickup location, there will be a $25 per day excess km fee added to the daily rate. Dory’s Es-ca-pe will make your holiday quick, easy and comfortable.

Hiring rules

  • Minimum days hire over Public holiday long weekends, 4 days hire over Easter, Christmas and New Year. No smoking in the van, no pets on the beds or couch (please supply your own dog bed). Dogs are not permitted to be left unattended inside the van. No offroad use, short distance of gravel road is ok. Chemical toilet with ensuite is available for optional extra hire, toilet must be emptied and rinsed into an RV dump point prior to van return otherwise a $100.00 cleaning fee will be charged. Delivery option will depend on time availability, please enquire first before making your booking.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Dory is always most enjoyable as well as comfortable, this is the second time I have hired the caravan out. Juanita was wonderful in filling me in with all the stuff to do with dory. Look forward to hiring dory out again soon

    The van was perfect for us three ladies and Juanita was easy to communicate with and fast to respond. It had all the amenities we needed and I will be hiring it again next time I am in the Brisbane area.

    The Van itself was great to tow and sleep in, air con worked well. Little kitchen was well equipped with all you need to do your cooking. The bike rack was a bonus but realistically most you can fit in is 2 bikes, if they are mountain bikes, it's a struggle to even fit 2 on. The fridge was a real let down though, plugged in for whole 3 days, and only the top freezer compartment was cool enough to store anything after 24hrs, the lower fridge compartment was room temperature at best for the first 2 days, and tiny bit cooler on the last day. Owner's communication was very good though and great to deal with.

    We loved Dory and had a wonderful trip with her. Couldnt be any happier. Juanita explained everything clearly when she dropped it off at my home. I followed her instructions thoroughly and had no issues at all. We will be hiring Dory again in a few months for our next trip.
