How long can you stay in a caravan park NSW?

Under the Holiday Parks (Long Term Casual Occupation) Act 2022, guests with a residential address can stay short-term as a tourist at a caravan park in NSW for 150 days in a 12-month period. Commercial caravan parks typically have their own rules for minimum and maximum stays, including over peak periods, like school holidays. It’s best to check with the caravan park you’d like to stay at ahead of time to avoid disappointment and ensure you have a place to stay throughout your trip. 

How to hire a campervan, motorhome or caravan in Wollongong & the Illawarra?

Once you have chosen a van, select your dates and send a booking request to the owner and discuss your trip. Once the owner approves your booking you can make a secure payment via our platform.

When the first day of the booking arrives you'll meet with the owner to pick-up the van (some owners will also drop-off to your holiday location). They'll guide you through using the van and submit a pre-condition report to our platform.  On return, they submit a post-hire condition report as part of the handover.

According to the NSW Government, if you are visiting the state, you can drive with your interstate or foreign licence as long as "it is current and does not change your status as a tourist or visitor".
