Your first hire: Getting your first booking

Camplify

Once your listing is live and your calendar is open, booking requests will start coming in. Here's how the process works:

  1. A hirer submits a booking request for their chosen dates*

  2. You review their profile, plans, and message

  3. If you're happy, you approve the booking

  4. The hirer receives a payment request and pays their deposit or full amount within 72 hours to confirm the booking

  5. You receive confirmation and can start preparing your van

*Instant Book is a feature where your booking will be automatically accepted. This feature isn’t recommended for first-time bookings, but once you get the hang of it, its a great way to manage your bookings, as they will automatically be approved.

You're always in control. If something doesn't feel right about a booking request — the route, the distance, or the hirer's experience level — you can decline. Your van, your rules.

On average, Camplify owners earn $880 from their first booking. So get that listing polished and your calendar open — your first hirer could be just around the corner.

Download the app

You can set up and manage your listing from the desktop, but when it comes to your first booking, you must have the Camplify app to complete the booking. Make sure you download the app and familiarise yourself with it before your first hire. You’ll complete a mandatory Pre-Hire Checklist and Post-Hire Checklist for every booking through the app - we’ll get into more detail on that later.
