**Winter is here but that doesn’t mean that exploring Australia has to be put on hold. Believe it or not, winter is actually one of the **best times to go camping during the year; not only are campsites less busy and more affordable, but the cooler temperatures open up new parts of Australia for travel!

Queensland

As temperatures cool during winter, Southeast Queenslanders begin the pilgrimage north and west; exploring the incredible tropical region of Far North Queensland and the iconic red dirt of the outback. Start out west and head from inland towards Seventeen Seventy, but take your time; its a long drive to the coast and there's plenty to see along the way. South Australia
