New feature: Damage claim status tracking now in your owner dashboard

New claim status tracking for your owner dashboard

When you share your van with the community, you want to know it is in good hands. We know that if things do not go to plan and a claim needs to be made, the process can feel a bit uncertain. You have told us you want more visibility and fewer manual follow-ups when managing damage, and we have been listening.

To help you get back on the road faster, we have launched Claim Status Tracking. This new feature is now live on your owner dashboard, giving you a clear view of exactly where your claim stands at any moment.


Why we have introduced claim tracking

Managing a damage claim should not be a stressful part of being an owner. Whether your hirer chose a local pickup or you opted for a delivery service to their campsite, we want the resolution to be just as smooth as the handover.

This update is all about transparency. By providing a digital paper trail from submission to final payment, you can stay informed without needing to chase up updates. It also helps speed up communication with our repair partners and independent assessors, ensuring everyone is on the same page.

How to find your claim status

For this first version, the tracking feature is available via your computer. To see the progress of an on-hire or personal damage claim:

  1. Log in to your owner dashboard (web version only).

  2. Navigate to manage your listing.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view your active claim updates.

Understanding your claim statuses

The dashboard will now show you specific milestones so you know exactly what is happening behind the scenes. Here is what those statuses mean for you:

  • Requesting repair quotes: We have sent the damage details through to our repairer network (like our partners at DingGo) to get the best estimate for the work.

  • Waiting for assessment: An independent third-party assessor is currently reviewing the quotes to ensure everything is fair and accurate.

  • Repairs authorised: This is the green light. You can contact the repairer within 24 hours to book your van in for its fix.

  • Payment in progress: The hard part is over. We are currently processing the funds for your claim.

  • Action required: If your status changes to this, it means we need a bit more info from you to keep things moving.
