5 tips for the ultimate boys trip travel experience

1. Nominate a leader to create an itinerary
Every boys trip needs at least one guy that organises the adventure. Without this guy, the whole trip falls apart or it never even happens in the first place.
But being the leader of your boys trip can suck when things get out of hand. To make life easier for yourself, write up a basic itinerary and send it to the group chat. That way, everyone knows what's happening and when - it’s not your responsibility if any man gets left behind!
2. Agree on dates
It can be a nightmare trying to agree on dates for your boys trip when every bloke has his own agenda. Save yourself from endless messaging and use an app like Doodle or Calendly. Alternatively, create an event on free calendar software like Outlook or Google Calendar.
3. Oversize your accommodation
How many boys trips have you been on where ten blokes end up trying to cram into a room with three beds? Within a day, there’s stuff everywhere, it stinks and half the group is sleeping on a towel on the floor.
Hire a few campervans and form a road train, so that every man has a bed of his own. You can keep each other company on long rides and swap passengers every few hours to keep things fresh.
4. Stick to the guest list
Once you and your mates have agreed on the guest list for the boys trip, stick to it. Although inviting more friends along at the last second might sound like a fun idea, it is often a recipe for disaster and people start clashing. However, if they do tag along, they should hire their own campervan.
5. Square up on payments
Often on a boys trip, it’s easier for one bloke to pay for everything when you go out to a club or a restaurant. Make sure that you pay him back by buying the next round. Alternatively, use an app like Beem It and create a group, keep track of expenses and transfer to your mates.
