3-Day Melbourne Getaway in an Eco Campervan | Hot Springs, Caves & Coastal Camping with Camplify

Ever feel like you just need to get out of the city for a few days, but the thought of planning a full camping trip feels… too hard? That’s where Camplify steps in.

Content creator @earthtokesh (aka Keshia Aikin) recently showed just how easy and fun a quick van getaway can be — especially with a custom camper like Lola. Keshia and her sister hit the road for a long weekend escape through East Gippsland , exploring hot springs, suspension bridges, caves, and quiet coastal campsites — all without the stress of setting up tents or packing half their house.

First stop: Tarra Valley Retreat

Just a few hours out of Melbourne, the girls pulled up to Tarra Valley Retreat, a peaceful bushy spot perfect for kicking off a weekend of slow travel. With Lola already stocked with essentials, all they had to do was roll in and unwind.

Eco camping in comfort: Meet Lola

Lola isn’t your average campervan. She’s got serious personality — and a big green heart. Owned by a low-waste, eco-minded local, Lola is built from mostly reclaimed materials, with thoughtful touches like:

  • Organic, ethically sourced bedding

  • Wooden dish brushes and loose-leaf teas

  • Bulk-store dish soap and non-toxic cleaning supplies (think vinegar and lemon)

  • Soap-berry-washed sheets (yes, berries!)

She’s the dream setup for anyone who wants a comfy, cozy vanlife experience without compromising on values. All you have to do is pick her up and go.

Bonus: Everything smells like fresh eucalyptus and sunshine.

Next up: Beachside serenity + hot springs bliss

From Tarra, the sisters made their way to Paradise Beach Campground — a remote, open beachfront escape where the waves become your morning alarm clock.

After a coastal recharge, they headed inland for some next-level relaxation at the Metung Hot Springs. Tucked in the hills near Gippsland Lakes, this geothermal gem is perfect for soaking tired road-trip legs while gazing over the treetops.

Natural wonders: Caves, bridges + forest walks

No trip to this part of Victoria is complete without a stop at:

  • Corrigan Suspension Bridge – A dreamy treetop walk deep in Tarra-Bulga National Park

  • Buchan Caves – Epic underground caverns carved by water over millions of years

Both are super beginner-friendly and well worth a detour.

Refuel the fun way: Local bites

Between campsite cooking in Lola’s compact kitchen, the girls also made time for two local faves:

  • Mama Vu’s in Lakes Entrance – For Vietnamese comfort food with a view

  • Buchan Caves Hotel – Classic pub vibes and hearty post-hike meals

Why Camplify is the MVP of spontaneous escapes

This whole trip? Booked, packed, and ready to roll — all thanks to Camplify. With thousands of unique vans like Lola across Australia, it’s never been easier to turn a last-minute Friday into a weekend full of stargazing, salt air, and natural hot springs.
