18 of our favourite pet-friendly holiday parks across Australia

Your dog isn't staying home. That's not up for debate.

The good news: nearly half of all RVs on Camplify welcome pets. That's thousands of campervans, caravans, and motorhomes where your dog (or cat, or bird) is a genuine part of the trip, not an afterthought. The even better news: Australia has brilliant holiday parks that don't just tolerate pets but actually cater for them with off-leash areas, dog washes, fenced sites, and beach access.

This is our pick of 18 parks across every state. If you're looking for a pet-friendly RV to get you there, Camplify's owners set their own pet policies, so you'll find genuine welcome rather than blanket "no pets" rules.

Tips for travelling with pets

  • Check the pet policy before you book. On Camplify, owners set their own rules. Some welcome all pets, some have size or breed preferences. Read the listing carefully and message the owner if you're unsure.

  • Expect owners to ask about your pet. Breed, size, age, travel experience. This isn't gatekeeping. It's how owners make sure their RV is a good fit for your animal. Have the details ready.

  • Pet bonds are standard and fair. Most owners charge around $100 as a pet bond. It covers cleaning and minor damage. If your pet is well-behaved, you'll get it back.

  • Bring a crate, a bed, and their usual food. Familiar items help pets settle. A travel crate gives them a safe space and protects the RV. Most owners appreciate seeing you've come prepared.

  • Download the Camps Australia app. It's the best tool for finding pet-friendly campsites, rest stops, and off-leash areas across the country. Camplify owners swear by it.

  • Book your campsite first, then your RV. Pet-friendly sites at popular parks fill up fast, especially in school holidays. Confirm the park accepts pets, then find your RV.
