Additional Information

FYI ~ We have another camper - Troopy *1*! If you can't see your desired dates available here, chances are they MIGHT BE AVAILABLE FOR OUR OTHER CAMPER! (both vehicles are set up exactly the same). ---------------------------------------------------------

ABOUT OUR TROOPY:

We like to say.... "Just bring your bags and go!" because we really do include everything in your hire.

Our troopy is completely fitted out with fridge, slide-out kitchen (stove/sink), quality cookware and utensils (because we love camp-cooking), chairs, table, towels, linens for 2 bed setup (double bed in pop-top, single bed below - sleeps up to 3). 2 x 90L diesel tanks will get you almost anywhere. A 50L fresh water tank built into the vehicle with tap on the side for washing up is also super useful! Gas bottle included with hire (whatever level it may be at from previous hire return - please fill when needed at any BCF store or Bunnings - around ~$11. A full bottle can last for up to 10 days of cooking. This van is completely off the grid - everything can be powered up on the 12V battery, including fridge and lights inside and out! There is a mains plug-in "15amp inlet" on the side where you may plug into 240V power at a caravan site to charge up your vehicle's fridge/lights etc and re-charge the batteries (one for the starter motor - one for appliances inside the vehicle), However, plugging into mains power is optional and is not at all necessary as the two batteries charge when the vehicle is driven during the day! The 12V DC power inlets on the inside above the work bench and on the outside near the passenger's side door, allow you to charge your phone or any other electronic USB chargeable device. This van is completely happy on its own and in our opinion doesn't require 240V plug-in power at all! This is an off-the-grid machine and will take you anywhere - whether through the outback, along the coast or beyond!
Bottle of local wine or craft beers included on arrival - we want you to enjoy your trip as much as we do when we head away in this wonderful camper! (But please drink responsibly and never drink and drive).

---------- FYI ~ if you'd like to hire the Troopy out for 1-2 nights specifically, please inquire with us and we'll see if we can fit you into a gap in bookings! (at our discretion) ---------------------------------------- *** ---- *** MANUAL ON HOW TO USE THE VAN *** ~ we also provide you with a comprehensive set-up guide and emergency numbers to call, should you need them. ------------ we really do look after you! :)
----- *** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A "3-BERTH" CAMPER, BUT MORE COMFORTABLE AS A "2" *** ~ whilst our camper has seat belts and sleeping capacity for 3, it is generally a whole lot more comfortable for 2 people only, or 2 adults + 1 child. Sleeping is fine for 3, however the seating is less comfortable as the 3rd [middle seat] in the vehicle, is quite a lot smaller than the main seats on either side --------------------- If you have any further questions, please send us an enquiry :) ---- Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you!

Hiring Rules

Please *no smoking*, no speeding. Minimum 3 night hire. Please respect me like I'm owned by you! :) ---------------------------------200km per day (average over the hire period). Extra kms @ $0.25/km - will be calculated and added at end of hire. Please let us know if you are planning to have a 3rd Person as there is an additional charge of $20 per night. Please avoid driving me at dawn and dusk or during the night - it can be dangerous with wildlife on the road --------------------- Cheers!

I had the best time in the Troopy. What a beast! It was my lifeline for ten days and I loved it. Tough enough to handle off-road but comfortable enough to make it an enjoyable holiday. Brandon and Maja were great to deal with. Highly reccommended.

Brandon and Maja were wonderful to deal with and the troopy was super clean, spacious and easy to drive. My dad and I had everything we could possibly need for a week exploring South-Western Australia. We would love to hire the troopy again one day!

Brandon, Maja andTroopy were terrific. We hired for 14 days to provide vehicle support for our son walking the Bibbulmun track. Rated 10/10 for the package. Excellent vehicle and well maintained, long wheel base Land Cruiser. Dual diesel fuel tanks with good range. Great layout for the pop-up bed, quick and easy to set up and all inside and waterproof. Dual battery system for fridge/cabin lighting excellent and did not need to use any 240 volt backup over the 14 days. Well set up with crockery, cutlery, linen etc and those little touches - gift pack of beer/wine.

Loved this Troopy! Great time away, we really enjoyed the compact-style set up. So much room for two people. The pop-top and awning were so cool. We looked up on Apollo and CheapaCamper before booking here and this van was legitimately 1/2 price! The personalised experience and all the extras were a huge bonus. Loved it. Thank you.

Maja and Brandon were wonderful to deal with, and their thoughtfulness is congruent with how they've set this Troopy camper up. Lots of small touches from beach towels, to quality cookware and cutlery, and even a bottle of wine. A great way to enjoy the vast vistas of WA and to feel close to it with minimal hassles!

Had a great 2 day trip to Nambung NP. Can only recommend renting a troopy and heading out there! Sleeping by the beach, under the stars of the west coast is unbeaten!
The 4wd camper is a pure joy! Organizing and meeting Brandon and Maja was nice and easy. A great experience to be recommended and repeated!
My first camplify experience left me impressed.

The Troopy was great! Clean, tidy van. Bed linens, beach towels etc were all included which was so good -- we had forgotten our towels! Everything we'd hoped for and a few nice surprises too (the wine – thank you!) The van was easy to manoeuvre and drive. The pop-top made the whole thing very spacious on the inside once we set up camp, and it was so quick and easy to set up too. I did this trip with my friend and we slept one on top in the double bed configuration and one below in the single - but you could easily fit two people up top, there was so much room. It felt really great to get away from the city for a weekend and we really enjoyed our time in this van! Thanks guys

Hi, my name is Michael (71y) from Tasmania. I am quite happy to write a review about our trip in this 4WD “Troopy” camper that we booked through Camplify recently and picked up in West Perth, WA. We had a few days left after a family visit and decided to explore the country a bit. Our daughter suggested the Camplify website and we booked pretty much immediately when we saw this 4WD camper with its great set up and awning. We decided to have a look at the Margaret River region. When we loaded our food supplies into the fridge we found a bottle of wine – nice surprise. We realised that the hosts had included fresh ground coffee in the van too, which was a really nice touch. Cooking was easy on a pull-out gas cooker on the side of the van, and there were quality pots and pans too and nice cutlery. Sleeping was comfortable with enough airflow. We were worried about this at first, my wife especially, as we usually sleep with the window open and were worried that it would be a bit stuffy in the van as it was a camper a bit on the smaller side. We initially went with this van because of its small footprint/ease of parking – but it turns out the sleep was great too! It was really nice and breezy with all the top windows on the pop-top unzipped, we didn’t even feel the need to open the sliding windows below on the actual van itself. We loved the awning - fast and easy to operate and a perfect shelter. It was a hot day when we set it up, so really great against the sun. To sum it all up, the camper had a great set up and was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the trip immensely. My wife and I have decided to come back in August and book this exact camper again for another 3 week trip to see the wild side of WA. We loved it how this van had everything we needed included, such as tables, chairs etc – this usually costs extra with rentals like Apollo. And the personal touches of wine and coffee included were very thoughtful and made our trip great. When we rent we usually book through a large company like Apollo or similar, but now that we know that Camplify exists, as a sort of ‘Airbnb’ for camper vans, we will be using it for future trips around Aus. But first, back to WA for another family trip and another 3 weeks of travel in this beauty in August!

Had an amazing time in this beautiful 4x4! Loved the bottle of wine on arrival - thank you!! Had a marvellous trip up north to Lancelin Sand Dunes. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset dinner in the van with the awning out - IT’S HUGE. The van was spacious and the mattress and bed linens/blankets very comfortable and you could tell the linens were great quality. Loved the thoughtful touches with fresh ground coffee included and stove top coffee machine, and it was really nice to have beach towels and pretty much everything we needed included. Great trip, would love to hire this van again and do a longer trip along the coastline of WA. Brandon was a pleasure to deal with and extremely personable and explained everything inside the van to us before we left. Cannot fault this rental - you can tell that the owner cared about the experience and wanted this to be the best trip possible for us! Thanks Brandon
