Hiring rules

• PRE AND POST HANDOVER
• Allow an hour on pickup and 45 minutes on return.
• DRIVING RULES
• Hirers must be 25 years of age or older.
• DIESEL fuel must be used. The vehicle is hired out with a full tank of diesel fuel and 'Ad Blue' and must be returned with full tanks of both or a $50.00 fee for filling + fuel charges will apply. Please note that both tanks are separate and ensure the use of the correct tank when filling.
• Please do not exceed 100kph. This is a large heavy vehicle designed for comfort, not speed!
• There is strictly to be no offroading, sand driving or beach driving with exception of dirt roads to and from campsites. The Motor home is fitted with GPS, if the vehicle is used in rough terrain without consent $2,000.00 fees will apply.
• The Motorhome must not be driven through flood waters, on any roads which are at risk of flooding, or have been closed by any statutory authority. We recommend checking road/flood advisories prior to your travel.
• No towing is permitted
• Never drive the Motorhome with the gas bottles on. They must be turned off before driving.
• Keep the toilet closed when traveling and not in use.
• BREAKDOWN, ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY
• If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. In the event of a breakdown requiring roadside assistance or accident, call Camplify on 02 4075 2000 and select option 4 for a direct line to roadside assistance.
• If you are involved in an accident, safely leave the road, stay safe and call Camplify on 1300 416 133
• DESTINATION & ITINERARY
• Owners will approve the booking based on the itinerary and destination provided by the hirer before hiring. Advise the owners of any changes to approved travel plans.
• KILOMETRE LIMIT AND EXCESS
• 200km per day are included. Excess km’s are charged at $.50c/ per km.
• STORAGE
• There is plenty of storage available within the Motorhome for soft luggage only. No bikes, surf boards, hard luggage with steel edge protectors or wheels are permitted inside to avoid cabinets and fixtures from getting damaged.
• The space under the bed CANNOT be used for storage as the expensive GridX system and other electronics are located there and require airflow around them.
• AMENITIES AND ACCESSORIES
• The motorhome is equipped with items, tools, kits etc to make your travel convenient. We ask that all items, equipment and van accessories not be removed from the vehicle. Missing items will be charge according.
• CONSUMABLES & COMPLIMENTARY
• At the discretion of the owners, consumable and complimentary items may be available to the hirer, including: cleaning chemicals, bin liners and toiletries. We asked for these items to be used practically and conservatively.
• SMOKING & PETS
• Strictly NO SMOKING or pets allowed in the motorhome, its driver's cabin or under its awning. The motorhome is fitted with smoke alarms and carbon detectors. A penalty of $500.00 will apply for cleaning and removing any smoking damage to the interior or the awning. Additional charges will apply for any replacement necessary.
• PARKING, TOLLS, FINE & OTHER TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
• The hirer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is parked in a legal and appropriate spot to accommodate a large vehicle. They are also to drive in accordance with all road rules. All fines and tolls throughout the hire period will be the responsibility of the hirer to pay.
• POST HIRE AND CLEANING
• Please return the vehicle in the same standard you received it (rubbish emptied, dishes washed, benches wiped, floors swept). Please maintain the cleaning standards outside as well as inside including shower and toilet, fridge, microwave, cooktop and griller. A cleaning charge of $250.00 will apply if it is returned dirty.
• Please ensure the grey water tank is emptied before return or $50.00 charge will apply.
• Please keep the toilet closed while travelling and not in use. Change the cassette every 2 days or when its full; rinse and add chemicals provided to avoid smells. Toilet cassette is to be emptied and cleaned or $350.00 penalty will apply.
• Hirers are expected to bring their own linen or request linen for additional charge. Mattress protectors are provided to protect the bed from stains and should not be used as alternative to linen. Washing and cleaning fees will apply if mattresses are used without linen or if the protectors were stained.
• Gas bottles must be returned full or an extra charge applies.
• If any damage occurs, you must report it to the owners.
