SEE THE FEATURES The bunk beds in this van are 180cm long, so anyone up to 5'10/5'11' (in the old money), will be comfortable enough. However, there is a weight limit of 80kg for each of these bunks. PICK UP - Myocum, just 10 mins from Byron. Or delivery available EQUIPMENT All of our vans go our fully equipped with all cooking pots/pans, plates, bowls, mugs and drinking cups, cutlery, washing up items and outdoor furniture (table, chairs, outdoor cooker). We also supply rubberised matting for the area under the awning. BEDS - As mentioned, the bunk beds in this van are 180cm long, so anyone up to 5'10/5'11' (in the old money), will be comfortable enough. EXTRA PRODUCTS - - Annex - available on request for extra charge and will require hirer to be on site to help in setting up. - Sorry - linen not available until further notice. DELIVERY - Allow 30 -40 minutes for your handover. Also be aware we try to deliver the vans to hirers as early as we are able to do so after check-in time. However, during school holidays and other busy times of the year, it may that the van can not be delivered until the afternoon. We ask for your understanding in this regard. Please be aware - bookings are 'by the day'! So the booking starts on the day you pick up the van or have it delivered, and ends on the day the booking is listed to end. For example a booking from the 1st to the 3rd is a 3 day hire. It's picked up or delivered on the 1st and is brought back on the 3rd.

Hiring rules

• PAYMENTS As from July 1 2024, Camplify will be introducing their automatic cancellation procedure. This means that any booking that has been approved, must be paid for (deposit) within 72 hours of that approval or be automatically cancelled.
• HANDOVER You will get a comprehensive hand over when taking delivery of this vehicle, but be sure to ask questions should something be not clear. You are also welcome to contact Rob at anytime for clarification on anything to do with this van.
• CAMPSITE Please make sure when booking your site, that the van will fit on the site. This is the hirers responsibility. Also, please inform Rob under who's name the campsite is booked. Occasionally this is different from the hirer's name.
• MINIMUM STAY
• Minimum 5 days during Christmas school holidays and Easter and all other school holidays there is a 4 day minimum hire. Outside of these peak periods, there is a 3 day hire minimum.
• LONG DISTANCE Not be be taken more than 400 km from Byron Bay without owner consent
• OFF ROAD Not to be taken off road. Camper Trailer can only be taken on gazetted roads and along campsite access roads.
• PETS No pets
• CLEANING Van to be returned in same condition at end of hire unless hirer chooses cleaning option for additional fee of $100.00. Cleaning products will be supplied to this van for your use.
• Excessive cleaning and trashed equipment will incur a $250.00 fee.
• TOILET / SHOWER If you are intending on using the shower/toilet in the van, that you make every effort to clean well before returning the van. Toilet cassette must be emptied, rinsed and new chemical added unless you wish to pay for a van/toilet clean of $150.00.
• CAMPLIFY RULES
• Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions prior to hiring this van. Be aware that any underbody damage to the van, including tyres is the responsibility of the hirer to fix.
• All hirers must pay the 'insurance excess reduction' fee through Camplify (when it becomes available).
• AGE All drivers must be at least 25 years of age and have had a full licence for not less than 12 months.
• OUTBACK
• Please note if you are going 'out west', you MUST select the 'outback clean' option from the Extra Products list. In all other circumstances, you must return the van in a cleaned condition unless choosing a cleaning option from the Extra Products list.
• LINEN We encourage hirer's to bring their own linen/pillows etc. However, we can supply on request. We charge $70.00 for the first bed and an added $20.00 for every extra bed. For example, if you are wanting linen for the main bed and all 3 bunks in this van, your total cost for linen will be $130.00

  Our experience hiring this caravan had its pros and cons. Starting with the positives, the delivery and setup were fantastic. Rob was right on time and made the process incredibly easy and stress-free. The main issues we had were related to the van's description and cleanliness. The ad stated an 'annex' was included, but this was actually a standalone gazebo. We paid extra thinking it was a typo, but the owner was very good about refunding the cost when he delivered the van. The van itself is quite old and tired, which is to be expected, but the photos in the ad are misleading and don't accurately reflect its current condition. More importantly, the van wasn't very clean upon delivery. We found a dead cockroach under the bed, and there was mould on several window blinds and in the window frame behind the double bed, where a mushroom was actually growing. Ultimately, the hire itself was seamless, but we feel it's important for future renters to know the van's condition isn't accurately shown in the listing and to perhaps confirm with the owner that a thorough clean has been done before hiring. This is particularly important given the cost of the van is to be paid up front - so of course the onus is then on the renter to raise these issues when they are discovered on the first day of their holiday(while they would hopefully be relaxing).

  We had such a great experience hiring Alvin the Avan through Camplify! From the start, Roberts communication was fantastic quick, clear, and helpful. He made everything so easy by delivering the van to us and picking it up at the end of our trip. The van itself was exactly as pictured and described, clean and well-equipped with all the inclusions promised. It was the perfect setup for a stress-free getaway. Highly recommend both Alvin the Avan and Robert from Byron Bay Campers for anyone looking for a smooth and enjoyable hire experience!
