Great car. Highly recommended
Budgie was amazing, the perfect companion to an epic Tassie road trip.
Everything you need and more and super comfy and a great drive.
Will definitely hire again next time im in Tassie.
Thanks Gabrielle for an awesome camper!!!
What a cracker little camper, Gabrielle has done a fab job with The Budgie. Very comfortable and with everything you need for a couple of nights away. Goes really well for its age and fuel efficient. Highly recommend
Sturdy van full of character, served us well for 10 days. Great kit with kitchen, shower, shelter, table, etc.
Budgie was great and the owner was more than helpful. A few minor issues but easily sorted and managed. Thanks for a great adventure. Parks pass was a bonus!
This was an awesome and cost effective way to see Tassy. Highly recommend.
Great experience with this comfortable Budgie. We travelled 1500km around the Tassie with all the weathers and it never let us down!
Very nice interior design. Just a shame not to have a real fridge but that was fine for us with the cold weather. The Budgie was very clean.
Gabriele was a excellent host and it was a pleasure to rent his camper van !
Pauline & Sophie.
The Budgie was absolute fantastic for a short break, it allowed us to explore in the 4 days in surprising comfort.
Unfortunately the advert said it did not come with bed linen so we paid extra to fly with ours over to use. When we collect the van there was indeed bedding but this was the only issue we had.
Gabe was a excellent host.
The Budgie was amazing. Such a great experience traveling around Tasmania with it. My partner and I stayed 8 nights with The Budgie and we loved it! Very confortable to sleep. Very good set up with table chairs spices to cook etc!
It was also a fun car to drive and we received many compliments at the campgrounds we went.
Tasmania is a perfect country to drive with an RV with plenty of free/ paid campgrounds around the island.
Definitely recommend The Budgie as a companion :)
Thanks Gabe for puting it together and providing a great experience!
I took The Budgie on an adventure through Tassie in early Spring. Gabriele was great and we kept in touch up until my arrival. I knew exactly where to find the van and when. The Budgie is the perfect size for one or two adults. It was a comfortable place to land at the end of a day driving through the mountains, or just for an afternoon nap by the lake. The curtains made for a nice private space when I was camped at paid sites when other people were around, and also helped to block out annoying streetlighting in those places.
The 'amenities' are perfect if you want to be semi-autonomous. I found the esky kept everything icy cold for around three or four days, and an overnight stop at a caravan park was perfect to re-freeze the ice-bricks in the camp kitchen freezer (leaving the bricks out on frosty nights helped, too), The cook top, pot and pan, table and chairs make for a sweet little camp kitchen in the bush and further afield.
All in all, The Budgie was the perfect travelling companion for this middle aged adventurer!
