Easy to drive, Miss Daisy will take you to the best camping spots in Tasmania. My van is a large converted ambulance with so many features: dreamy double inner spring mattress, shady free standing 3mx3m gazebo, double butane gas cooker, two comfortable fold out chairs (not canvas collapsible ones) and camping table, a fan, new 45L fridge, new radio with Blue Tooth to connect to your phone GPS, and enough solar power and connections to charge computers, laptops and run 240volt appliances too. Miss Daisy is economical to run, has rear camera for reversing and plenty of storage. For your convenience I include basic cooking condiments, first aid kit, travel guides and so much more to make your holiday a real joy.

Hiring rules

  • 1. Cooking and smoking are not allowed in the van. (These are rules for all vans without built in kitchens)
  • 2. The 3 x 3m gazebo is complimentary in the hire, but must not be used in high wind. Also it must always be secured by the metal pins and rope when in use.
  • 3. To protect the beauty of the Tasmanian environment, all rubbish must be disposed of correctly and stored in the containers provided.
  • 4. National parks have charges. If you'd like me to help organise a Parks Pass for you, I am happy to assist.
  • 5. I provide travel books of Tassie, fiction novels and games. Please enjoy them during your holiday.
  • 6. Have a lovely holiday.
  • Hirer must be 22 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Driving Miss Daisy went without a hitch! Debbie is located very close to Hobart airport, which was very convenient when we flew in! The interior is spacious with a good amount of storage. The van was well powered, fuel efficient and had no issues in going up mountains etc. There was a gas stove cooking set up and sandwich press which we also made pancakes on. It always had electricity even with the fridge running at night! We took her on a boat to Bruny Island, then over to the west and north coast. She was easy to drive and we got so many compliments on her flowers! Great experience and we will hire again.
