Set yourself free with Imelda, our well-travelled 2008 Jayco Journey 17.55-3 — a caravan built for people who don’t just holiday, they explore. Imelda is located in the Jarvis Bay region, (Falls Creek), just outside of the amazing town of Huskisson ~ Sth Coast NSW. Imelda has seen a lot of Australia over the years, and that experience shows in all the right ways. Inside, she’s clean, comfortable and thoughtfully updated with modern touches that make your stay easy and enjoyable. Outside, she wears her adventures with quiet confidence — which means you can relax and focus on making memories, not worrying about the odd minor scuff or mark. She’s perfect for travellers who value comfort, capability and simplicity over showroom shine. With Imelda, it’s about the experience — campfires, coastal mornings, family time and freedom — not perfection. With its clever design, spacious interior and trusted Jayco craftsmanship, this van turns every weekend into an escape and every escape into a story. The layout brings comfort wherever you park: a welcoming double bed, including a combined shower (hot & cold) and toilet, smart storage, a cosy dinette, and all the little touches that make life on the road feel effortless. From quiet coastal mornings to ripping sunsets, the Journey is made to take you there with confidence and ease. Light to tow, comfortable to live in, and ready for new memories — it’s the perfect partner for families, couples, and anyone who wants to experience Australia at its best. Imelda has a comfortable double bed and a smaller single bed (on fold down dining table), suitable for a child or two smaller children. Creature comforts of camp chairs and table, kettle, toaster, air conditioner & microwave (when on 240v), large fridge with freezer (gas or 12v) and the essentials of cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, washing up necessities and toilet paper. Stream movies, browse online or work anywhere with the optional extra of Starlink unlimited at just $20 additional a day or $15 per day for bookings over 7 days. Hook up, head out, (if you have towing experience & an appropriate vehicle with electric brake controller) or arrive to a local venue of your choosing all setup and let our Jayco journey become part of your adventures! Local set up is included at no cost between Sussex Inlet in the Sth to Berry Nth (max 25km), after that by request and at cost of $3/km. You choose & book your location/site (suitable for large 17ft van) and we will deliver Imelda and set up. On departure we’ll pack up and tow back, no hassles 🙏 Jervis Bay is blessed with many great caravan parks though don’t forget there’s many amazing local campgrounds on the https://www.hipcamp.com site.

Our van is purpose-built for independent travel, powered by a 200Ah lithium battery system and intelligently managed through a Projecta PM35 with an easy-to-read LCD display so you can monitor battery levels and charging status at a glance. Energy is supported by a 200W roof-mounted solar panel and a 120W portable solar panel you can position in direct sunlight — helping you stay off-grid longer with reliable, renewable power. In addition, the van features: • 💧 2 x 90L freshwater tanks for extended self-contained travel • 🔥 2 gas bottles for extended cooking, hot water and appliance use Enjoy the comfort of gas cooking, gas/240V hot water, a diesel heater for cooler nights, and a 3-way fridge that keeps food cold even when you’re unplugged. Designed for travellers who want freedom, flexibility and comfort — without needing a powered site. As noted, Imelda has some traveling experience, newly refurbished with a very modern inside but unlike many other hireable options we encourage full use of facilities including cooking inside. Keep in mind if you’re staying in the van permanently the toilet cassette will need emptying every three or four days (depending on usage). Additionally, if there’s a risk of unexpected breezes the awning will need winding in, preferably overnight also. Note hire fee excludes any "major cleaning" fee therefore please return van clean and dry. Alternatively, simply selected one of the cleaning options from the “optional extras” when making a booking request. If cleaning is not selected and the van is returned unclean we will apply appropriate fees during the completion of the hire process. Off-road requires discussion, a detailed map and itinerary will be required. Optional extras include: Starlink unlimited is just $20.00 additional a day or $15.00 per day for bookings over 7 days, fishing rod/reels & tackle box $10.00/hire, inflatable stand up paddle board $20.00/hire, all by request. Hiring rules

  • 🚭 We take pride in keeping the van fresh, clean and familyfriendly — therefore it is strictly no smoking or vaping inside.
  • * Hirer must empty and clean cassette toilet before returning or a fee of $75.00 will apply. Please select "clean the chem toilet" in Optional extras section.
  • * A call out fee of $100.00 is applied if you require us to move the van once it's been set up in the agreed location.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Greg and Kara helped us out very last minute with a hire. Imelda was absolutely perfect. The attention to detail, the surprise extras, and the comfort exceeded expectations. Handover was very thorough. Greg and Kara were very friendly, everything was explained in detail and demonstrated, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Imelda to anyone, and should we ever need a hire again, we wouldn't look anywhere else.

    Absolutely amazing from start to finish! Had never used this platform or heard of it and Kara & Greg were so helpful all the way through. I had a last minute problem with my own little camper van & thought our holiday would be ruined but they came to the rescue! Extremely quick & really good with communication. Van was absolutely perfect! The instructions were fool proof & so easy and well thought out. So much effort has been put in and it really shows. Will definitely use again. The finishing touches were so personal & made all the difference. You can tell they travel themselves because everything has been thought of down to the most simple things that are always forgotten when camping. Loved it so much I was so impressed. Made a stressed out single mum with a toddler love camping again and we had the best weekend because of it. Thank you so much guys you made such a difference

    This van was exactly as advertised. Greg and Kara were amazing and easy to deal with very helpful and quick to respond to any messages. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities were great. The van was extremely clean. Would definitely hire again.

    Great van for our trip! Greg was awesome to deal with! Worked perfectly for our little family for the two nights of our trip. I would 100% recommend this van and would absolutely hire it again in the future.
