Named after the iconic Tasmanian Native Hen, the Turbo Chook will get you around in style. Comfortably sleeps 2 with 2 burner stove , 12v fridge, microwave, sink & onboard water. Easy to park in a normal car space. Complete with cutlery, bedding, towels, tea & coffee making facilities, kettle, toaster, camp chairs, outdoor cooker etc. just grab some groceries & go. For peace of mind the van is safety & mechanically inspected after each adventure. Located 5 mins from Launceston airport for convenient pick up & drop off.

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We rented the Turbo Chook for our first trip around Tasmania and our first experience traveling in a van, and it was absolutely amazing. The van had everything we needed cooking equipment, utensils, sheets, blankets, and pillows. Even though we didnt use them, it also comes with a microwave, kettle, and toaster. We were able to use the van for the entire trip without needing to plug it in, which made everything very easy and convenient. Having a kitchen and a table inside was a big plus, especially on windy and rainy nights. We didnt have any problems at all quite the opposite, everything was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We are also very grateful to Graham, who kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and took the time to clearly explain how everything worked in the van. We highly recommend this experience! 100% worth it!

    Turbo chook was a great van, everything you need for a comfy stay in tas. Graham was an amazing host picking us up and dropping us off at the airport which is all of 5 mins from his place.

    We had an amazing experience with this van. It was in excellent condition the brakes, suspension, power and fuel economy were all outstanding. It drove beautifully and felt very reliable throughout our trip. What we loved most was how well equipped it is for off-grid living. The water system was easy to fill and use, and the extra battery powered all the interior lights, fridge, and water without any issues. Everything was neat and well maintained, and the mattress was surprisingly comfortable! Mr. Graham was incredibly helpful. He provided airport pick-up and drop-off, and explained everything about the van clearly, which made our experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

    Turbo Chook for the win!!! Best decision we made. Really nice to drive. Had everything we needed and more, power, water supply and gas. We slept so well in the bed, comfortable and spacious, easy to set up. The Chook is the perfect van for fitting into campsites around Tasmania. Graham was a fantastic host, friendly and accommodating, he even brought the van to us and dropped us off at the airport. Would highly recommend.
