Clarissa: supremely easy to drive and all your comforts on and off grid

Meet Clarissa – nimble and adventurous to the core 😊 Clarissa is the perfect combination of flexibility and comfort. She’s easy to drive and quick to set up. She's self-contained and has all the comforts you need for a cozy getaway or longer holiday, whether in a caravan park or a bush adventure (yes there is solar and she is all wheel drive to get you out of those slippy situations). It’s the little things that make a difference with having a great camping experience, and the guys at Achtung Camper who built the van know what they are doing. The van features a clever layout that has built in lights and fan and other small but surprisingly convenient features. The pop top roof means you can stand up in the van during the day, and use the extra space for an additional (very comfy) bed at night. Basically you just grab your clothes and some food and go! DRIVING COMFORT AND EASE This 2024 Volkswagen Transporter TDI340 LWB Van 7spd.DSG AWD (automatic drive) comes with parking sensors, digital cockpit for easy use and navigation, and the VW Interior Comfort Package for extra driving comfort, especially on those longer hauls (you will appreciate the arm rests!). There is built in navigation or you can use your own phone – connect with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. SLEEPING She is able to accommodate up to four people with the rock and roll bed downstairs and a comfortable roof bed in the pop top roof. Linen is an optional one-off hire, but we provide mattress protectors for all hires. Max 150kg in the roof bed. KITCHEN AND COOKING Fully kitted out with fridge, freezer, indoor induction stove and outdoor gas stove. Of course you may went the full outdoor cooking experience, so there is also a fold flat fire pit with cooking grill and hotplate. Pans, utensils etc all provided. Don't miss out on your morning coffee! There is a stove top coffee pot and a travel kettle to easily make your brew of choice😊 Dish cloths and tea towels provided - we wash them after. BATHROOM Clarissa comes equipped with a cold water shower at the back (including shower curtain around the tailgate) and a chemical toilet with pop up toilet tent (on request). If used the toilet must be emptied and well-cleaned for its return, otherwise there is a $175 fee. Nope, we don't really like cleaning other people's poop. OUTDOOR 2 x tables, 4 x camping chairs (two full length, fully reclinable). There’s a picnic rug and a tarp as well as some walls you can use for the awning if he weather happens to turn. The awning is fastened to the side of the van and extends to 3m. There’s even retractable fairy lights and a portable stereo to set your nighttime mood. CONSUMABLES We provide basics to get you going – any of these you use does not need replacing: • Toilet roll • Basic pantry inc oil, herbs, spices, salt and pepper. • Tea and coffee, sugar. • Kitchen essentials – tinfoil, clingwrap, lighter, paper towel • Gas for outdoor cooker, fire lighters • Chemicals for toilet (if toilet is hired) OTHER Cable provided to connect to power in caravan park. Mileage: 200km a day and 60c per KM thereafter.
