Here at Built for Advanture, we create high quality camper vans built to last the distance. BFA was born from a love of travel, a dedication to excellent craftsmanship and a desire to create something beautiful and functional. We, Jesse & Sam, are now in our 7th year of building campervans under the name of Built for Advanture, but it all started a long time before this.... Vanlife started for us in 2009. Our self-built camper took us on the coastal route to Adelaide, up through the Red Centre, to Darwin, across to the east coast and slowly back to Victoria with our beautiful (and much missed) Blue Heeler, Jacob. We picked up work along the way and had many incredible experiences that solidified our love for this kind of travel. Further travel, adventure, learning and multiple personal van builds have followed, and weve added two kids to our family unit along the way but it wasnt until 2018 that we decided to take our passion and turn it into a business. The idea of assisting others on their own vanlife journey was just too exciting. Jesse is a third generation craftsman, cutting his first sheet with his dad at age 4 on the panel saw that now has pride of place in our workshop. Youll find other tools from his Pas welding and fabricating work still being used in our shop too - proving that high quality purchases last longer than a lifetime when taken care of. With Jesses cabinet making and carpentry qualifications, Sams eye for detail and design and our keen love of exploring, were here to get our clients on the road in a van perfect for living their personal ideal van-lifestyle. Now we get to create beautiful, innovative spaces on the daily. We pride ourselves on the high quality of our conversions and the relationships we build with our clients and customers. By extending this to renting our own campervan, we get to share the BFA experience with more people. Happiness never decreases by being shared!

We had such a great time away and the Built for Advanture crew make van life an absolute dream. Our campervan felt secure to drive, beautiful to live in and look at and made life on the road super comfortable. Take it for a spin, youll have the best time too!

Last minute weekend away and Jesse was very accommodating in organising handover. Ventured into Otways with some free camping via brilliant little town and great pub at Birregurra, Lake Colac and Californian Redwood Forest and return via Apollo Bay and Fisherman's Co-op crayfish. Raven took all the roads with ease and not a rattle to be heard. Bed definitely worth a mention as best night sleep and window covers gave not only temperature control but could adjust so had perfect level of privacy and light. Highly recommend.

What an amazing trip. The van was perfect, but the interaction with Jesse made it even better.

Jesses Fam Van was awesome, convenient and ran like a charm. Communication was warm and approachable, very accommodating and understanding. The Van itself was the most enjoyable part of our somewhat chaotic adventure. Thanks guys :)

We loved our stay in the fam van. The fit out is super stylish and functional and is very well equipped. There is loads of storage space for everything, and easily accessible. Plus the van is very easy to drive. Such a great opportunity to hit to road with style.

The Fam Van is an absolute dream space.. Well designed, comfortable, considered details, quality fixtures and the perfect little home on wheels to release your inner gypsy! Go swim in rivers, wake up in the bush and take the road less travelled, this little beauty will get your there. Jesse was fantastic to deal with, communication was easy and logistics a breeze. Cant recommend the Fam Van highly enough... hope you love it too!
