I'm Stef, the proud owner of Island Guru Vans. As an outdoor enthusiast and nature lover, I've always felt a deep connection to the wild beauty of lutruwita (Tasmania). Its a place thats close to my heart, and I wanted to share its magic with others. Thats why I decided to start renting out Teatree,... a cozy campervan, so people - like you - could experience the islands stunning landscapes on four wheels. Whether its the rugged coastlines, the lush forests, or the towering mountains, I believe theres no better way to explore Tasmania than by hitting the road and immersing yourself in nature. Through Island Guru Vans, I aim to offer travelers the freedom to discover this incredible place at their own pace, creating memories that will last a lifetime. What an amazing way to explore Tasmania, Im so glad I chose Sassy! She may be on the older (slower) side but I was in no rush, she has everything you need to live comfortably and so well equipped. Travelling in mid-May it was quite chilly at nights so lots of layers needed, but the bed is incredibly comfy. Couldnt recommend her more! Thanks Stef and Dave :)

We spent 10 days in the Van, it drove nicely, was good on fuel and had everything we needed to camp pretty comfortably. I would be happy to hire it again and would recommend it to friends/family as an easy way to have a look around Tassie.

We spent two weeks in this lovely van ! Everything was perfect There was everything we needed and felt at home. This is an old beast but it will drive you everywhere ! Super easy to use. Dave and Stef were very sweet and always available. We highly recommended it !

Sassy is old Toyota she is not fast but we love that. For us it's time to view and enjoy the surroundings, we love traveling in her this is our second hire.

I dont recommend this van, there were a lot of problems and the owners were unreliable. I couldnt open the trunk at all because it was broken. ( so no access for chairs and table, under the bed without any drawers) The kitchen is super heavy and not adapted ( normally there is a trail under to pull easier ) but not in this van. I was travelling with my mom who is 60 and she never could open it alone. There was no shower The van is way too expensive for what its worth. You need to be super strong and fit if you want to travel with this van

Would recommend! We had a wonderful week camping in Sassafras It was the perfect little home on the road, and had everything we needed. It is an older car and we found it a little difficult to drive (especially uphill in the mountains), but once we got a hold of it everything worked as it should. Dave was easy to communicate with and super helpful

Sass was perfect for our little loop of Tas. The van had everything we needed for our trip, the bed was comfy and Stef was friendly and knowledgable! Would highly recommend!

Really enjoyed spending 5 days driving around Tassie in Teatree the Transporter!! Dave and Steff were super responsive and even shared their recommendations for Tassie, including places to camp (very useful!). The van was fantastic - really these guys are pros and have thought of everything. Thank you !

This van is amazing. Besides being very reliable it had everything we needed for a cozy and nice trip and a bit more. In addition to that the van is very clean and the bed is amazing. The owners were also very thoughtful and easygoing. Totally recommend this van.
