Welcome to Camplify! We’re thrilled to have you, whether you’ve just signed up, wondering whether you should sign up, or a long time member who’s just now realising they don’t know what they signed up for. We welcome anyone and everyone, from adventurous families to first-time campers, thrill-seekers to chill-seekers and everyone in between. If you’re looking for the rundown on all the great stuff we get up to, you’ve come to the right place.
What exactly is Camplify?
A very good question deserves a very good answer. So here we go. You may have heard us say that we’re Australia’s largest and fastest growing van sharing platform, but just what is a van sharing platform? It doesn’t mean that John from the local is going to be coming with you on your road trip, but it might mean that John from the local is renting out his converted kombi on Camplify.

What we provide is a safe and secure platform for anyone in Australia to list their campervan, caravan, motorhome, camper trailer or 4x4 to be hired by an intrepid adventurer. Rather than owning an onsite fleet of marked up vans, we utilise the thousands of neighbourhood RV’s around the country to provide you with a wider range of choices, prices and hiring locations. All of our users are verified, so you can rest assured that you’re dealing with a legitimate adventurer like yourself, all on a secured and local platform.
As the middleman, we facilitate all the tricky stuff for you so that you can focus on relaxing and not on admin. We put you in touch directly with local van owners, with all communication being recorded on our platform, and we’ll be right there alongside you in case of anything serious. (Not literally beside you, we don’t want to cramp your style.)

So how does it work practically?
Once you’ve signed up with Camplify and joined our ever-growing community, you’ll be able to search for vans in either the area you live in or the area you’re planning to travel to for an easy pick-up and drop off. Because we’re not based in a handful of warehouses or in the shadow of an airport, you’ll be able to find your perfect vehicle in a city, town or village near you.

On the day, you’ll head to the pick-up point for your van, where your lovely and kind owner will run you through all the ins and outs of your vehicle, along with a pre-hire checklist to make sure they cover everything. Because it’s their van, they’ll have all the insider knowledge you’ll need to have a safe and comfortable trip. Once you head off, you’ll still be able to message them through our app if any unforeseen problems arise.
After you’ve had the time of your life on your road trip, make sure you complete the post-hire checklist to ensure you return the vehicle in the condition you found it in. Following this, you’ll have the chance to review your experience and start telling everyone who will listen just how good vanlife is.
What if something goes wrong on the trip?
We’re pretty sure you’ll be fine, but unfortunately accidents can happen. While the vehicle is in your care, you’ll be responsible for any damage, including damage caused by events out of your control. However every trip with us is covered, and we offer excess reduction packages starting from just $5 per day.

If you’re having any mechanical issues, or you can’t remember how to change a tire (we’ve all been there), we’re partnered with the NRMA to provide 24/7 nationwide roadside assistance, so you won’t get caught out. Our support team is also on hand 24/7 to answer any questions, and point you in the right direction in the case of an issue.

We’ve helped thousands of adventurers spend over 3 million nights under the stars, which comes out to around 8200 years of camping. That’s one heck of a track record.

Plus, we put all our prospective listings through a rigorous onboarding process, so that you know the vehicle you’re hiring has met our specifications. All owners are verified in our system for your peace of mind, allowing us to facilitate your dream adventure.
