Supercharge van bookings: Camplify webinar insights
)
At Camplify, we're always looking for ways to help our van owners succeed, and our recent session 1 of our new "Camplify Campfire Webinar" series in mid October was a fantastic opportunity to connect with you, our community, and share some valuable insights. Last updated: October 2024
The first Campfire Webinar Session , hosted by Jake and Casey from the Camplify Community team , took place in mid-October and focused on a highly requested topic: marketing your listing.
As Australia's leading van-sharing platform , we want to ensure you have the tools and knowledge to maximise your bookings. Here's a summary of the key takeaways from the webinar.

1. Join the Camplify owner community
One of the best resources available to you is the Camplify owner community. Whether it's through our owner Facebook group or future webinars, connecting with other owners can provide valuable insights and support. During the webinar, several owners shared their own marketing strategies, from offering raffle prizes at local events to partnering with creators for content collaborations.
Don't miss out: Join our online community of over 3500+ Camplify owners.

2. Camplify's marketing efforts are working for you
We have a dedicated marketing team who are experts in driving traffic to the Camplify platform. From print and TV ads to social media campaigns and radio spots, we're doing everything possible to get the Camplify name out there.
We've focussed on some great campaigns over the years and they are really benefiting our owners. But while we're bringing the traffic, it's up to you to make sure your listing stands out and converts those views into bookings.

3. The power of great photos and competitive pricing
The first thing potential hirers notice is your photos and pricing. It's important to stand out amongst other vans with some friendly faces and your RV on full display. Make sure your photos are high-quality, well-lit, and show your van in an appealing setting (not just your driveway!). If you haven't already, take a look at our photo guide , which is packed with tips on how to take professional-looking photos with just your phone.
Pricing is another key factor. Regularly check what similar vans in your area are charging and adjust your rates accordingly. Some owners even tweak their prices weekly to fill gaps in their calendar. It's important to look at pricing from a yearly view, rather than from booking to booking. Remember, competitive pricing and great photos are the top two things that will get hirers to click on your listing.

4. Get creative with your marketing
Many owners are taking their marketing into their own hands, and it's paying off. From setting up Instagram profiles to advertising on Facebook Marketplace , there are plenty of ways to get your van in front of potential hirers. One owner shared how they secured 12 bookings in just a few weeks by listing their van on Facebook Marketplace. Another owner regularly sets up their van at local markets and events, generating multiple bookings each time.
If you're looking for more ideas , consider collaborating with local businesses , such as caravan parks, or even offering special promotions like free delivery or discounted rates for longer bookings. One owner shared how they partnered with a local caravan park, which now refers customers to them when their cabins are fully booked. 5. Instant book and one-way hires: game changers
If you're not already using Instant Book, it's worth considering. Instant Book allows hirers to book your van immediately without waiting for approval, which can significantly increase your booking rate.
We've also recently launched one-way hires, which are becoming increasingly popular. This feature allows hirers to pick up your van in one location and drop it off in another, and you can charge a one-way hire fee to cover your costs, including flights and other expenses. It's a great way to attract long-term bookings and stand out from the competition.
6. Keep an eye out for future webinars
This was just the first of many webinars we'll be hosting, and we're excited to continue these sessions to help you grow your business. If you have any topics you'd like us to cover in future webinars, let us know in the Facebook group or reach out to our team.
Your success is our success
We're here to support you every step of the way, so don't hesitate to reach out to our team if you need help. And remember, the Camplify community is a fantastic resource—whether you're looking for advice, inspiration, or just a bit of support, we're all in this together.
Stay tuned for more webinars, and happy hiring!
