Additional information
I use a portable solar blanket which plugs into a solar regulator in the back of the van. I have marked S to plug the solar in and B to plug the battery clamps in and away you go. You should see the red lights turn on, on the regulator to show the current battery charge level. You must also turn on the battery at the battery box. Pressing the little red button on the battery box will show the current amps in the battery. Try to keep the amps above 12. The battery will also charge as you drive.
Hiring rules
- Please take good care of the van, it’s my home too! 😊 as with most diesels, please turn ignition on to acc and wait for the glow plug indicator to turn off before starting the vehicle. Other than that it’s all straight forward.
- Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations
Strict
- Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
- Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
- Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Tania 5.0Sandy is a lovely, comfortable and cosy camper for two, with all of the conveniences you could wish for. Clean, neat and tidy with very high quality sheets/linen and easy to use axillary battery, and a nostalgic air, a great A/C and stereo, perfect for getting away from the crowds. Her great diesel motor, never felt underpowered. The owners were extremely helpful and guided us through all of Sandy's features and set up, and accommodated our changing plans. We hope to hire Sandy again in the not too distant future. Highly recommend Sandy!
