Hi, I live in Sydney and love travel and adventure (who doesn't). I bought Charlie, a tough looking Toyota Hiace poptop campervan so that my wife and I could make the most of the weekends. We love trundling in a "general direction" so that we can stumble upon new places. Charlie has so much to give, and so I look forward to sharing him with like minded travellers, and to hear what cool places you've taken Charlie to! Tony
I never really got a chance to camp when I was young. It wasn't until was in my 30's did I discover the joy of waking up in nature after a night camping. Also, at the risk of being cliche, it's the fellow travellers that I meet camping that really makes this such a great lifestyle. I've found fellow campers to be full of interesting stories, humour and generosity. I think this is because they're explorers and adventurers at heart!
South coast of NSW. Why, because it's got gobs of everything. Sparkling beaches, fragrant forests, cute towns, unpretentious vineyards. A favourite of mine now is to pick a campsite near Southern Highlands, and then for Sunday lunch pop into Artemis Winery, tasting their wine, munching on wood fired pizza all while laying on the lawn among their vines! Bliss.
