The end of the year is a good time to review your finances and look at how you can improve them in the coming year. Setting a New Years Resolution to make your under-used RV work for you is one way to do this! Camplify members have been able to provide amazing holidays for Hirers, whilst receiving a great return on their investment. Here we will show you what you can expect to earn per night, depending on the vehicle type and location, along with some tips from two of our Camplify Owners who have hit the road to RV sharing success.

You can earn anywhere from $250 to over $2000 a week by hiring your RV with Camplify. Earning potential is reflective of what type of RV you have and your location.

Motorhomes such as a Jayco Conquest are currently earning $150-$200 per night on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Campervans are popular options, with a Toyota Hiace campervan currently fetching $65-130 per night out of Geelong.

Softfloor camp trailers like the Oztrail Onroad are attracting nightly rates of $45-$60.

Or a MDC Offroad hardfloor camper trailer $85-$95 our of Brighton QLD.

An Adria Altea is currently earning $105-$130 on Camplify. Since first listing in September 2017, this RV has had $7500 in confirmed bookings. A two berth Supreme Classic is currently earning $120-180 per night in Green Valley. A 1984 retro renovated caravan is currently earning $55-65 per night in Perth.

Two of our Owners have shared their stories and some of their tips for making the most of your listing and ensuring that they stand out from the crowd...

Luke from Adventure Shack joined the caravan hire and RV sharing community in early 2016, with two Ezytrail camper trailers he’d purchased from Ezytrail in Brisbane. In his first three weeks on Camplify Luke’s camper trailer earned him over $2,700! He has continued to expand his fleet, which now includes 16 RVs. No matter which type of RV you are listing for hire, Luke maintains that presentation and communication is key.

Ensure you have amazing and appealing photos of your RV and its full set up on your Camplify profile. Going to this extra effort will set your RV apart. Signage on your RV advertising it and the website details is an inexpensive way to help people find your RV and hire it! Check your Camplify dashboard regularly. Prompt responses and thorough discussions create a positive customer service experience, and these Hirers are likely to return again, and spread the word.

Merryn from Earth and Sea Camper Van Hire joined Camplify because she wanted a platform which would help her business to reach a national audience. She received the first booking within three days’ of listing her Eco Eagle I camper. The fleet has since expanded to two vans, with more vans on the horizon. ‘Sharing assets is a much more sustainable approach, both financially and with less impact on the environment’. This ethos is reflected in every aspect of Merryn’s business, and in her choosing to list her RVs with Camplify.

Merryn says that a business’s values should be consistent throughout your listing and this will help highlight the benefits of booking that particular RV. One way she puts this into practice is by stocking her fleet with sustainable products where possible. Highlighting the benefits of an RV is appealing to Hirers, it's not about just noting the standard features of an RV, but focusing on what the additional inclusions are and how these enrich the holiday experience.

You can check out Merryn's website to hire her vans or visit her blog to follow her travel journeys.

Camplify enables Owners to enter the sharing economy, confidently knowing that Camplify will protect its Owners with full liability and damage insurance, screening Hirers, and delivering a comprehensive booking and hiring process.  Owners remain in complete control of whether they approve booking requests from Hirers.
